One-of-a-Kind Pocket Mala

Some pieces seem to reveal their meaning while they’re being made.

Homecoming came together completely intuitively. I wasn’t trying to create a specific story or energy while knotting her, but once she was finished and sitting in my hands, the feeling was undeniable.

Soft protection.

Emotional safety.

Grounding.

A return to self.

This 27-bead pocket mala is made with earthy Alashan agate, grounding smoky quartz, and two luminous pink rabbit hair rutile beads resting at the center like little threads of softness woven through the piece.

And then there’s the Pixiu.

I’ve worked with Pixiu before, but this one carried a completely different energy to me. Softer. More maternal. Protective in a nurturing, watchful way — but still fierce. Like the kind of guardian that protects what she loves without hesitation.

The muted desert tones of the Alashan agate paired with smoky quartz create such a calming, grounding energy, while the pink rabbit hair rutile brings softness and emotional warmth into the center of the mala. The more I sat with the completed piece, the more the name Homecoming made perfect sense.

Not becoming someone new.

Coming back to yourself.

This is not simply jewelry.

It is a beautiful and sacred tool that holds intention.

Grounding, stabilizing, emotionally supportive, and deeply nurturing. Alashan agate carries soft earth energy that feels calming, steady, ancient, and comforting.

Smoky Quartz

A powerful grounding and protective crystal used to transmute negativity, anchor the spirit, and create energetic stability during stressful or emotionally heavy seasons.

Pink Rabbit Hair Rutile

A soft heart-centered stone associated with tenderness, emotional healing, self-worth, and inner child energy. Its delicate inclusions resemble tiny threads of light woven through the crystal.

Pixiu Guardian

Traditionally regarded as a celestial protector and keeper of blessings and positive energy. This particular Pixiu felt especially maternal to me — protective, nurturing, fierce, and watchful all at once.
