9-bead finger mala for freedom, confidence, joy + enjoying the ride

Blue skies. Hot sun. Ancient earth. Open road.

These started with a color combination that immediately made me want to get in the car and drive west.

There’s something about that Palm Springs kind of landscape—the huge blue sky against all those sunbaked oranges and sandy neutrals. Windows down. Sunglasses on. Music up. Hot air coming through the car and absolutely nowhere you need to be except wherever you’re going.

That’s what I wanted these little malas to feel like.

I paired fiery Carnelian with big, juicy Aquamarine, then brought in Fossil Jasper and gorgeous old-stock Crazy Lace Agate gurus from 2006 that look like tiny desert landscapes all by themselves.

Then I added tiny hearts and little flashes of Pyrite because apparently even the desert needs a little gold. ✨

MY CRYSTALS

🩵 Aquamarine 13mm — My blue sky. Clarity, communication and space to breathe. Aquamarine has this beautiful way of quieting the noise so you can hear your own voice again.

🔥 Carnelian 8mm — My hot sun. Life force, confidence, creativity, pleasure and momentum. This is the stone that says stop thinking about doing the thing and go do the damn thing.

🤎 Fossil Jasper 8mm — My ancient earth. Grounding, stability and perspective. The earth is old, life is short, and maybe everything doesn’t need to be quite so serious.

🌵 Crazy Lace Agate 25mm — Joy, resilience and all the wild twists and turns along the way. I love its energy for embracing the beautifully imperfect road instead of needing everything to go according to plan.

✨ Pyrite 4mm — Confidence, abundance, protection and a little swagger. Basically sunshine with an attitude.

And tucked among all of it are tiny hearts—because wherever the road takes you, take your heart with you.

MY VIBE

Palm Springs is for when life has gotten a little too small.

When you’ve been staring at the same walls, thinking the same thoughts, carrying the same shit around in your head and you need to remember there is an entire world outside of it.

Take the trip. Change the scenery. Roll the windows down. Wear the ridiculous sunglasses. Stop at the weird roadside place. Buy the thing you absolutely do not need. Laugh too loud. Take the scenic route.

You do not have to know exactly where you’re going to enjoy the hell out of getting there.

Sometimes the medicine is simply movement, sunshine, beauty and remembering you’re alive.
